November 22nd, 2007Before the summer we have been intensivly working on a project for a small private art gallery in a secret place nearby Milan, Italy… then our mysterious client has just vanished.
The cellar of a generous house with a large surrounding terrain was supposed to be turned into a very precious and special space for contemporary art exhibitions to be held once or twice per year. Our proposal was to do ‘almost nothing’. A new slick and shiny white floor that could work as the main reflective suface, a very precise lighting system, a discrete and versatile concept for the entrance room and all the remaining space left empty and available for art installations. After a first design proposal, few meetings with contractors and suppliers, materials researches and costs calculations, we just lost track of our client. What we liked to call ‘an invisible project’ for the absence of a real design, seems to have now ironically turned into a ‘vanished project’.
